# Nod > Nod is an AI notepad for macOS that turns your meetings, calls, and voice notes into clean, searchable notes — without joining your meetings or storing audio. It listens locally through your Mac (no meeting bot), returns notes in 11 languages, and lets you ask questions across everything you've captured. Built by an individual developer, Dima Barabash. Free during private beta. ## Pages - [Home](https://hellonod.app/): What Nod is, how it works, and the privacy model — captured on your Mac, no stored audio. - [Get Nod for macOS](https://hellonod.app/get-nod): Download the macOS app (.dmg). Only transcripts and AI summaries are saved. - Data location: Supabase Postgres in the EU (AWS eu-west-1, Ireland), encrypted at rest with AES-256, per-user Row-Level Security. - No model training: LLM and transcription calls run through OpenRouter with Zero Data Retention; upstream providers do not train on user data. - Languages: English, Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, Bengali, Portuguese, Russian, Urdu, Ukrainian. - Works with: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack huddles, Discord, FaceTime, and any audio playing through the Mac. - Pricing: free during private beta; paid pricing published before any billing. - Creator: Dima Barabash.
