Is this available now?
Not yet — Agents are planned and not yet released. Everything on this page is built and describes how it works, but it isn't in the version you'd download today. The rest of Nod is: Meeting Notes and Ask Nod ship now.
How is an agent different from just asking?
Only in when it runs. It asks the same question you'd type into Ask Nod, saved so you don't have to remember to ask — which matters most for the questions you'd never think to ask on the day they'd have helped.
Does it do anything besides answer?
It answers, it doesn't act. An agent reads what Nod already holds and writes the answer where you'll see it — it sends no mail, posts no messages, and changes nothing in another tool. Every action in another tool stays yours.
Can I change or stop one?
Yes. Edit the question or its schedule, pause it, or delete it and its history, at any time and from inside the app.
Useful on day one. Hard to work without by month three.
