Each segment goes through a European proxy to a hosted transcription service under Zero Data Retention, and is discarded the second the text comes back. No audio is stored at either end.     No. Nod captures your Mac's system audio rather than dialling in, so no participant appears and no recording banner fires. No bot doesn't mean no consent. Recording law varies by country and by state, and some of it asks everyone on the call to agree — so tell people you're taking notes. See recording consent laws.

    No. Nod is built for one person first. It signs in with any Google account, personal or work, so there's no Workspace plan to buy and no rollout to run. Your notes are yours; a summary leaves your account only when you create a link for it.
