- Product evidence
- Nod combines bot-free capture, structured notes, cross-conversation Ask, voice notes, and optional ambient text context in one searchable record.
- Limits
- The coworker framing does not mean agency. Nod currently reads and recalls; write-capable action workflows remain a product direction, not a shipped promise.
- Method
- This page is based on reproducible workflows in the current Nod macOS product and the public security, pricing, and product documentation linked below. It makes no aggregate usage or outcome claim.

What Nod does today
Nod captures meetings and voice notes, turns them into structured text, and keeps the result askable across time. Optional ambient context adds the focused window as text. The practical outcome is a coworker that remembers the conversation when you need to prepare, follow up, explain a decision, or retrieve a promise.
- Captures calls without joining as a meeting participant
- Produces summaries, decisions, and action items
- Answers across earlier conversations and cites sessions
- Adds optional, expiring focused-window text for nearby context
The human-in-control workflow
Ask Nod what changed, inspect the source, decide what it means, and then take the action yourself. That sequence is deliberate. It keeps a generated answer from silently becoming an email, task, customer promise, or product decision before a person checks it.
What is still a direction
Nod's roadmap explores a controlled action layer that can prepare an exact change for approval. It is not shipped as autonomous execution. The current product does not write to Jira, Confluence, Slack, Notion, a CRM, or email. See the roadmap for the boundary in one place.

Frequently asked questions
Is Nod an autonomous AI employee?
No. Nod captures, organizes, recalls, and answers from your context. It does not perform external actions or make decisions on your behalf.
Can Nod send email or update project tools?
No. Write-capable integrations are a future direction. The public ChatGPT and Claude connectors are built as read-only and still await directory approval.
Why call it a coworker?
Because it supports a repeatable part of the workday—remembering conversations and retrieving context—while leaving judgment and action with the user.
