What Nod does instead
Nod listens through your Mac's own audio, so the participant list is just the people. It turns the conversation into a transcript and a structured summary, then lets you put questions to everything you've captured. Capture is local on your Mac; transcription isn't. Each audio segment is sent through a European proxy to hosted transcription, and Nod discards it when the text returns. No model trains on the data. Reach. Read runs on the web, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, and its search covers email and messages as well as meetings. Nod only knows about conversations you captured on a Mac.
It also has a free plan (five meeting transcripts a month), speaker coaching that Nod has no equivalent of, and a SOC 2 Type II report. Nod has no SOC 2 attestation. If your security team requires one, that settles it.
